About & methodology

Madrid is an independent guide to places, areas, events and practical information, run by Syntax Space Studio OPC. Every entry says whether it is free or paid, lists its sources, and shows how and when it was checked.

How we verify

Each entry carries one of these badges:

  • AI-written, source-cited — written by our AI writers from the sources listed on the page, and reviewed before it is published. Each fact is tied to its source and the date it was retrieved. Nobody has checked it in person yet.
  • Verified on site — someone from our team visited and checked the entry in person on the date shown.
  • Partner-confirmed — the venue or organiser confirmed the details to us.
  • Source-cited — the entry cites its sources, but no dated check stands behind it.

Data collected automatically from other websites is never shown as it is. It stays out of the guide until it has been written up from cited sources and reviewed, or checked in person.

Hours, prices and schedules change. When a fact is older than we consider reliable, its badge is dimmed and says “confirm before travelling”.

Written with AI

Most entries are written by our AI writers, and every one of them says so with the “AI-written, source-cited” badge. AI can get things wrong, which is why each claim links the source it came from, so you can check it yourself.

Sources

We prefer official sources: the venue, operator, city government or tourism board. Coordinates and identifiers come from Wikidata, and Wikipedia is used for background facts only. We don’t take data from review sites. When an opening time or a price isn’t published, we leave it blank rather than guess.

Corrections

If something is wrong or out of date, the sources on each page show where it came from.
